Where do we meet?
The address for the boat launch is 1354 Water Street. A member from our crew will call you 5-10 minutes before your reservation time to help you find the boat.
How does the fueling work?
You will receive the boat with a full tank of gas and will be responsible to fill up whatever you use. There is a full service gas station at the marina who will be able to assist you with filling up. In the case that they are closed, we will fill the boat up for you and take the charge of gas out of your damage deposit.
Do I need a boat license to drive the boat?
No boating license is required. We send you a contract via email and text that will grant you a temporary day license. This contract is to be signed and submitted before you go out on the water, this is done on your cell phone or computer.
Where do we park?
There is public parking at the boat launch, on the street surrounding the area, and a parkade at 1360 Ellis Street (free parking on weekends).
Can I bring a cooler and snacks onto the boat?
Yes, we allow you to bring any food on the boat along with a cooler to store it in. We do not provide coolers. Camping barbecues/stoves are also allowed so long as you are wary of the potential damages they could cause.
Is there going to be music on the boat?
All of our boats have a stereo with an aux cord. iPhone users will have to bring their own dongle. The radios on our boats do not work on the water.
Can my pet come on the boat?
Yes your furry friend can join you on the boat but there is a non-negotiable pet fee of $100 and you must notify us saying that you will be bringing them before your reservation.
Can we drink alcohol on the boat?
Drinking on the boat is illegal! If you get caught you will be fined by bylaw. The rules of the water are the same as those on the road. There is no open alcohol permitted.
Are there washrooms at the boat launch?
There are free public washrooms near City Hall and Waterfront Park. There are some businesses close to the boat launch that have washrooms available for paying customers.
What types of payment are accepted?
We only accept credit cards, e-transfers, PayPal and cash. We do not have a public office, so there is no way for us to bring the Point-Of-Sale machine to you. Credit card information or a deposit is necessary to hold your reservation regardless of how you wish to pay and you must tell us your preferred payment method before your reservation or else it will be defaulted to the credit card.
How much gas will be used during my rental?
Many conditions affect your fuel consumption. Weight of persons and gear, wind, waves, towables, rpms, etc. Please refer to this chart for approximate fuel consumption - https://www.boatgph.com/mercruiser.
